Manuela García Lirio
PhD in Art History. PSI of the University of Jaén
PhD in History and Arts from the University of Granada with international mention with the thesis “Museos y colecciones universitarias de arte en el ámbito iberoamericano” (2021). With a double theoretical-practical training, she has a degree in Fine Arts (2009) and a degree in Art History (2015). She also has a triple postgraduate training with a Master's degree in Visual Arts and Education (2011), a Master's degree in Art History: Knowledge and Protection of Heritage (2014) and a Master's degree in Secondary Education Teaching (2017). In 2020 she completed the Diploma in Museology and Museography at the Complutense University of Madrid. She is a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), member of the International Committee of Museums and University Collections (UMAC) and member of the Spanish Committee of Art Historians (CEHA). She remains linked as a researcher to the Group HUM-806 Andalucía- América: Cultural and Artistic Heritage of the Department of History of Art of the University of Granada. Since 2015 she has focused her research work on the enhancement of Ibero-American university heritage. This line of research has led him to establish academic links with more than fifty Latin American universities. She has participated in numerous conferences and scientific events, both nationally and internationally, and has published in various scientific journals. She is Honorary Guest Professor of the Master's and Doctorate programme at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (Mexico).
During the 2022-2024 biennium, Margarita Salas was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Art History at the University of Málaga. She is currently working as a PSI at the University of Jaén.
