Professor at the University of Málaga and director of the Software Technology Institute. His research interests are foundations, tools and applications of formal methods for critical systems, particularly communications software and development techniques for Internet services in mobile networks.

Responsible for several national research projects on mobile technologies and embedded systems, he is also the leader of several projects oriented to technology transfer in the field of mobile communications with international companies such as OPTIMI-Ericsson, AT4 wireless or Keysight Technologies. He represents the University of Málaga in Networld2020 ETP and the 5GPPP Association. He is a member of the research groups GISUM and MORSE.
