University Digital Leaders Programme«
The Telefónica Chairs Network has launched the first edition of the ‘University Digital Leaders’ programme, with the aim of identifying and rewarding the best emerging talent among university students.
During the days 3 and 4 April in Madrid (Campus 42, Espacio Movistar and LaCabina), a total of 78 students, grouped into 32 teams, bachelor's and master's degree students from the universities that make up the Telefónica Chairs Network were put through a series of tests, in the format of a escape room, in order to acquire and improve their skills (social, technical, strategic...).
A jury made up of representatives from these institutions was responsible for evaluating the teams' performance in terms of ten key competencies. Each university was represented by four students, divided into two teams of two members, who had been previously selected by the directors of their respective Telefónica Chairs, The participants, together with the collaborating teaching staff, on the basis of their academic record and personal merits. Among these participants, Malaga was represented by two teams made up of students: Health Gil Gómez, Matías López Lovera, Elio Godoy Lorite y Francisco Javier Baena González.
The following were distributed 23,000 euros in prize money among the ten top-rated teams, among which, in fifth place, was the Malaga team composed of Elio Godoy Lorite y Francisco Javier Baena González.
