Yesterday, 8 May 2023, took place at Universitas Telefónica (Telefónica District, Madrid) the Telefónica Chairs Conference «The future of telecommunications networks in Spain and Europe».». The conference provided an opportunity to learn more about the changes and challenges facing the telecommunications sector in Europe and Spain - a strategic issue of great interest to Telefónica.

Dr. Nuria Rodríguez Ortega (Director of the Telefónica-UMA Chair) travelled to Madrid to participate in these meetings and to analyse the situation of the Spanish market, as well as to learn about the changes that are taking place in the wholesale and retail markets for electronic communications services such as broadband, mobile or TV - subjects that are of interest to the Chair, as an in-depth knowledge of this progressive socio-economic evolution forms part of the strategic axes of the Chair belonging to the University of Malaga.
