Conceived as an open classroom where teachers and students with common interests can train, work and develop innovative proposals.

On Friday afternoon, on the occasion of the closing of the seminar Multiple Singularities, the Tech_Limināris project was presented; a joint initiative between the Department of History of Art and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Malaga with the participation of the Telefónica-UMA Chair. This experimental factory was created as its own contribution to the current debate in society on how the use, development and use of new generation technologies is affecting the university and academic world.

The teaching team, made up of professionals linked to artistic creation and art history, assisted by specialised external collaborations, aims to create a transdisciplinary network that generates experimental projects in which the most advanced technological tools play a major role. The chosen scheme is that of an open classroom, so that any student interested in participating in it can choose the training itinerary that best suits their personal interests, attending and participating in free activities, complementary to the official study programmes (master's or degree).

Experimenting critically with the multiple possibilities that new generation tools bring to transdisciplinary creation and curating will generate wide-ranging working groups from which innovative projects will be projected. The first of the activities is a Cacharreo Workshop (generative artificial intelligence, mixed realities, metaverse) which will feature the participation of the multidisciplinary artist Azael Ferrer and with the CEO of Rock&Change, Isaac Jimenez. It is scheduled for Monday, 2 December, at 6 p.m., in the Fine Arts Cafeteria.

On this occasion, no prior registration will be required.

Don't miss it!
