Workshop on Immersive Narratives and Art History II

Next 9/02, 16:30-19:00h. we return with the 2nd edition of the workshop on immersive narratives and Art History with Leticia Crespillo Marí (Predoctoral Researcher at the Department of Art History of the University of Málaga) and José Gabriel Ruiz Gonzálvez (C.E.O of Opossum Studios. A activity that takes place in the framework of the Master's Degree in Social Developments in Artistic Culture and the Telefónica-UMA 5G Chair.
The aim of this workshop is to show what Virtual Reality offers in the field of humanities in general and, more specifically, in the field of Art History. It will show, among other works, the immersive experience Postcatalogue (2020) by iArtHis_Lab (Laboratory for research, innovation and training focused on the study of artistic culture from digital, computational and techno-critical perspectives) and Opossum Studios Virtual Builders, Melilla), which was part of the exhibition Triggered catalogues and which was open to the public between December and January 2021 in the Sala del Rectorado of the University of Malaga).

JARCT 2021 - Telefónica Chairs Network Annual Conference

Tomorrow, 01 December 2021, from 10:00 to 14:00, the Annual Conference of the Telefónica Chairs Network will be broadcast live via streaming. In this way it will be accessible to teachers and students of those universities who wish to follow it, but for whatever reason cannot attend in person.

Telefónica, in its eagerness to involve and incorporate the university and academic ecosystem in its AI democratisation scheme, recently launched the SofIA for the Home challenge with the aim of stimulating the presentation of ideas and proposals that improve people's lives in their personal universe: their house, their home. The challenge (Home AI Challenge - Talentum (talentumtelefonica.com) basador on the experience and expertise of the Digital Home, The project has been a genuine exercise in collaboration and interweaving between the business reality and the university ecosystem, The students received invaluable mentoring and master classes from the different Telefónica multidisciplinary teams, as well as sharing an invaluable experience. The four finalist teams and their respective Telefónica Chairs were:
 
  • First Prize: IndIAna (C.T. Universidad Carlos III de Madrid)
  • Second Prize: Foundation (C.T. University of Vigo)
  • Extraordinary awards:  PandorIA  (C.T. Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Jarvis (C.T. Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya)

Talentum Telefónica: Telefónica's platform for promoting young talent

Talentum is the platform of Telefónica's drive for young talent, a programme that provides opportunities for young people through its extensive youth scholarships, training and team challenges. These scholarships are aimed at recent graduates and students living in Spain. Both students and recent graduates, can do an internship at Telefónica. It is a scholarship programme where they will be able to start developing their skills in projects relevant to the company.

 

Since 2012, more than 3,500 Talentum scholarships in its different modalities. Throughout this year, Talentum will distribute around 500 scholarships through the different modalities of the programme, in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona, Granada and Valladolid, among others. The call for applications is currently open Telefónica Globa Scholarships until 30 November.
